Pupil Safety
Keeping safe at school
At Eastborough, we believe that keeping pupils’ safe is everyone’s responsibility.
There is, however, a team of adults who are Designated Safeguarding Leads in the academy and have had additional specialist training on what to do if children are not safe.
These adults are:
Mrs Merrick
Mrs Gallagher
Mrs Micklethwaite
Miss Flannery
Who do we work with?

We work closely with our Kirklees Families Together consultant, who can provide support to families for many different areas of concern including housing, counselling, food, nutrition and hygiene, families who have children with additional needs and for adult learning and support for employment.
Pol-Ed is a range of PSHE-related resources and educational inputs designed to keep children safe and prevent them from becoming involved in crime, commissioned by police forces like West Yorkshire Police.

The Anti-Bullying Alliance is a coalition of organizations and individuals united against bullying, aiming to create safer environments for children and young people to live, grow, play, and learn. We will not tolerate bullying behaviour at Eastborough and teach how children how identify and to stand up against bullying.
